Susanna Fogel, best known for her work on ABC Family’s “Chasing Life,” will direct the project from a script she’s co-writing with David Iserson. “The Spy Who Dumped Me” follows two best friends who become part of a conspiracy when one of them discovers that the boyfriend who dumped her was actually a spy.
Brian Grazer of Imagine Entertainment will produce the feature. Production is scheduled to start in the summer.
Should the deal go through, it would be first role for Heughan in a major Hollywood feature. The Scottish thespian was the first actor cast for the Starz time-travel series “Outlander,” which centers on a married World War II nurse who finds herself transported back to the Scotland of 1743, where she encounters the warrior Jamie Fraser, portrayed by Heughan. “Outlander” has aired for two seasons and been renewed for two more.
“The Spy Who Dumped Me” is being overseen by Lionsgate’s Peter Kang and Geoff Shaevitz along with Imagine’s Erica Huggins and Julie Oh. Heughan is repped by Ruth Young at United Agents, UTA, and attorney Steve Warren. The news was first reported by Deadline Hollywood.

We cannot wait to see the reaction when Saint of Killers shows up at the beginning of the second episode. Fans are going to shit a brick. Hell, he is top 10 villains in comic book history. Some have even ranked him in the top 50 characters in comic books.

LAURA DONNELLY
Beowulf is a British epic fantasy drama television series from ITV, consisting of 13 episodes and created by James Dormer, Tim Haines, and Katie Newman. Dormer wrote the series based on the poem Beowulf and executive produced along with Haines and Newman, while Stephen Smallwood produced the series. The series began airing in the United Kingdom on 3 January 2016[1][2] and will air in the United States from 23 January 2016.[3]
The story is a re-imagining of themes and characters from the Old English poem Beowulf, but with new characters and storylines added.
Beowulf is a comparatively short Old English poem in which the hero of the Scyldingas (Shieldlings), Beowulf, fights three monsters; the mysterious demon Grendel, Grendel’s mother, and a dragon. The poem also features Hrothgar, king of Heorot, and various other warriors.
In order to be expanded into a 12-part first series and in the hope of making several more after that, the plot has naturally been pulled out quite substantially and the world of Beowulf, the newly-simply-spelled Herot and the Shieldings has, of course, been substantially expanded. Perhaps the most surprising development is the death in this first episode of the king Hrothgar, creating a much more complex political situation than that presented in the poem with a number of characters vying for power. »

JOINS CAST OF VICTORIA
ITV’s ‘Victoria’ Period Drama Adds More Cast.
By Deadline
Jenna Coleman is starring in Victoria, ITV’s eight-part drama that follows the early life of Queen Victoria from her accesion to the throne at the age of 18 through to her courtship with and marriage to Prince Albert. Rufus Sewell, recently seen in Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle, has joined the cast as Lord Melbourne who was Victoria’s first prime minister. The two immediately connected and their intimate friendship became a popular source of gossip that threatened to destabilize the government. Victoria went on to rule for 63 years, and was the longest-serving monarch until she was overtaken by her great-great-granddaughter Elizabeth II on September 9th this year
Victoria is produced by Mammoth Screen (Poldark) and created and written by novelist Daisy Goodwin, in her screenwriting debut. The series will open with a 90-minute episode, followed by seven one-hour episodes.
The ensemble cast now includes Paul Rhys (Borgia) as Sir John Conroy, the ambitious controller of the Duchess of Kent’s household, who controlled Victoria’s upbringing, hoping to rule through her, when she came to the throne. Peter Firth (Spooks) will play the queen’s conniving uncle the Duke of Cumberland, and Catherine Flemming (Simones Labyrinth) plays the Duchess of Kent, Queen Victoria’s mother. Eve Myles (Broadchurch) is Mrs Jenkins, the Queen’s senior dresser.
Adrian Schiller, Nichola McAuliffe, Daniela Holtz, Nell Hudson, Tommy-Lawrence Knight, Nigel Lindsay and Alice Orr-Ewing are also aboard. Further casting is underway.
Goodwin is executive producing with Dan McCulloch (Indian Summers) and Mammoth Screen’s managing director Damien Timmer. Shooting begins this month with ITV Studios Global Entertainment on worldwide sales.
LAURA DONNELLY
Morgan Lloyd Malcolm’s sharply comic thriller, The Wasp, is transferring to Trafalgar Studios this December, following a sell-out run at Hampstead Downstairs earlier this year. MyAnna Buring, now a household name thanks to roles in Ripper Street and Downton Abbey, will star as Carla, whilst Laura Donnelly, star of Outlander and ITV’s Beowulf, will play Heather.
Once close childhood friends, Heather and Carla’s lives have taken very different paths – Carla lives a hand-to-mouth existence raising four children while Heather has a high-flying career, a husband and a beautiful home. And yet, here they are sitting in a café twenty years later, with heavily pregnant Carla chain-smoking, as they awkwardly reminisce about the past. Then Heather presents Carla with a bag containing a significant amount of cash and an unexpected proposition.
Star of BBC TV series Ripper Street, MyAnna Buring will play Carla. Previous theatre credits include the live recording of The Vote (Donmar Warehouse), Seduced (Finborough Theatre) and Strangers on a Train (Gielgud Theatre). Buring is also well-known on screen for her roles in blockbuster film The Descent, as well as Downton Abbey and BBC TV series Banished.
Sharing the stage will be Laura Donnelly as Heather. Donnelly reprised her role in The River(Royal Court Theatre) earlier this year on Broadway, playing opposite Hugh Jackman. She has just finished shooting the lead role in new ITV series Beowulf and is currently filming the second series of Outlander. Previous Theatre roles include Philadelphia, Here I Come!(Donmar Warehouse), Judgement Day (Almeida Theatre), and Romeo and Juliet (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre). Tom Attenborough returns to direct The Wasp.

Gary Lewis, Adhamh O'Broin and Gilbert MacMillan at the launch
“Outlander” star and Gaelic student Gary Lewis has launched the new-look Gaelic learners’ website.
“LearnGaelic.scot will provide a first stop for anyone interested in learning Gaelic with a new emphasis on adult learners,” said Lewis, who features in the blockbuster series shot partly in Badenoch, at the film producers’ dream setting of the Highland Folk Park in Newtonmore.
Launching the website in his home town of Glasgow, Gary, who has starred on the big screen in films such as Billy Elliot and Gangs of New York as well as TV programmes including Silent Witness, had to learn Gaelic for his part as Colum McKenzie, the Laird and Chief of Clan McKenzie, in the TV series Outlander.
Gary was joined by Gillebride MacMillan, the celebrated Gaelic singer who plays Gwllyn the Bard in Outlander, and the Gaelic coach for the series, Àdhamh Ó Broin.
Since the original version was launched back in 2011, the LearnGaelic website has proven popular with Gaelic learners of all ages but in particular, the adult audience.
As well as the distinctive .scot url, the new design focuses the site’s resources specifically on adult learners. The LearnGaelic.scot/dictionary has become the most comprehensive language tool for Gaelic learners containing 70,000 specially recorded sound files which give instant access to the correct pronunciation of Gaelic words.
The site has grown significantly with a particular spike on Twitter following the launch of Outlander. Over the last year, covering the period June 2014 – May 2015, over 207,000 unique visitors used the site, a 90 % increase over the same period the previous year (June 2013 – May 2014) and 412,103 site visits were recorded in total over the course of last year.
Endorsing the website and highlighting the importance of the Gaelic language in the broadcasting industry, Lewis said: “I have connections to North Uist where my wife’s father hails from so I have enjoyed the Gaelic language for many years and have a strong interest in learning it. My role in Outlander has allowed me to gain my own respect for the language and the enhanced LearnGaelic.scot website is a great online resource which should help encourage other learners of the language.”

GARY LEWIS
From Newtonmore to new Gaelic website

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D actors Brett Dalton and Simon Kassianides star in the movie and are raising funds to make the film through Kickstarter
$65k to be raised before filming begins this summer

rust No One has been written by Simon Kassianides, who will direct and act in the film when shooting begins this summer. No stranger to the action/thriller genre, Kassianides played Eva Green's treacherous lover Yusuf opposite Daniel Craig's Bond in Quantum of Solace. More recently, Kassianides appeared as agent Bakshi in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D where he met Brett Dalton, who stars as agent Grant Ward. The pair enjoyed working together so much they decided to make their own movie.
"Films like Bond, The Bourne Identity, Mission Impossible and Roninhave all been an inspiration for the film's action sequences," explained Kassianides. "But the big difference with this movie is that the combat scenes aren't between trained assassins. They are between ordinary men and women, fighting for their lives in an extreme situation."
Will Balfe train in martial arts and boxing to portray her character? Kassianides says that's a secret that only his Kickstarter investors will be privy to as the shoot date nears this summer.
