Outlander Star Sam Heughan Reveals Season Two of Hit Show Looks "Incredible"

By SCOTLANDNOW

SCOTS actor Sam, who plays Jamie Fraser in the Starz time-travel series, opened up about season two of the series.

OUTLANDER fans are eagerly anticipating what will happen to their favourite characters when they return in season two.

The series, which is based on Diana Gabaldon 's second book Dragonfly in Amber, sees Claire and Jamie flee Scotland for France to seek out Bonnie Prince Charlie.

And while fans may be unsure of what to expect upon its return, show star Sam Heughan has offered some reassuring words.

Scots hunk Sam, who plays Jamie Fraser in the Starz time-travel series, said the new characters and setting look "incredible".

Speaking to the Wrap, he said: “There’s some crazy new characters.

“It looks magnificent, the show looks incredible, and just trying to find where Jamie and Claire fit into that world, is exactly the kind of journey they’re having.”

One of the new faces is likely to include Jamie and Claire's daughter Brianna, after we told you that videos of actors hoping to play the role had surfaced online.

And earlier this week, we told you similar clips of auditions for the role of Roger MacKenzie had also appeared of video-sharing website Vimeo.

Roger is the adopted son of Reverend Wakefield and appeared briefly as a child in Outlander's first season.

The characters are set to play a key role in season two, as Gabaldon’s second book kicks off in the 1960s with Claire and Brianna visiting Roger in Scotland.
