OUTLANDER fans can get a true taste of the time-travel fantasy – when the show’s cookbook is released.
Canadian Theresa Carle Sanders is putting the finishing touches to her Outlander Kitchen
Cookbook – with author Diana Gabaldon’s approval.
Theresa is using Scottish-inspired recipes including cullen skink, bridies, stew and tatties as appetite for the hit show reaches boiling point.
Theresa, who visited Scotland to research her book, has been inspired by everything on offer from the nation’s larder.
She said: “My husband and I have travelled to Scotland on vacation twice in the past few years.
“We rented a boat in Inverness to cruise Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal to Fort William.
“We stocked the galley with fresh local produce, meats and cheeses, and also enjoyed meals in pubs and hotels along the way.
“I did sample a deep fried Mars Bar in Edinburgh but I didn’t finish it.
“Scottish cuisine has so much to offer.”
Gabaldon has written eight Outlander books and will write the cookbook’s introduction.
Catriona Balfe and Sam Heughan star in the £50million TV show based on the novels.
