The end of Droughtlander!
Outlander season two premieres in just a couple of weeks, and we're at the point where we need all the Jamie and Claire we can get.
We're sure you feel the same way, so we've put together a fully updated season two gallery, full of all the pictures, costumes, characters, and plot info you could ever need. Whether you've read the books or not, we've got you covered.
We know, it's not like you need a real reason to stare at the beautiful faces of Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, and the rest of the cast, but it's good to be informed before heading off on a trip to 1740s France on a quest to stop an entire rebellion.
Find out just what Claire and Jamie are going up against with our gallery:
13 IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
THE RAPE STORYLINE IS OVER
"This is not a new template for the show going forward," Moore explained. "This was a specific story with those specific characters and that story has now ended. There will be reverberations and repercussions, you know, how this impacts Jamie's life, how this impacts his relationship with Claire, certainly those things will continue forward, but no, we're not going back to prison cells every week in season two." Cue a million sighs of relief, right?
BABY ON BOARD
At the end of season one, Claire revealed to Jamie that she's pregnant, which pretty complicated at a time when people didn't even know what germs were. Despite all that, don't think things are going to get any less sexy with that bump in the way. Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan confirmed that they did film sex scenes with varying sizes of bump, and wanted to make sure they honored what it's really like to be pregnant. "I think it is important that it's not sort of glamorized," Heughan tells us. "It is real. Women who are pregnant are sexy, and glowing, and I think it was really hot."
PREPARE TO GET POLITICAL
The location isn't the only thing that's changing in season two. "The story is also different in that it's much more political," Moore told us. "It's much more conspiracy, it's much more lies and gossips and double dealing in Paris salons and so on, and building towards a war. It's all setting the stage for the Jacobite invasion of Scotland, and will history repeat itself." While in Paris, Jamie and Claire will be taking full advantage of Claire's knowledge of the future. They'll get to know Bonnie Prince Charlie, or the Young Pretender to the throne of Great Britain. He's the instigator of the highly unsuccessful Jacobite Uprising of 1745, which is what Claire and Jamie intend to stop from happening in order to prevent the deaths of all their friends in Scotland.
COSTUME PORN
If you loved the fashions from season one, you don't even know what you're in for. This gallery is barely a preview of the fancy French finery that season two has to offer. Some of the ensembles are straight-up shocking.
THE RED DRESS
Book fans know the most iconic piece of fashion from the second book, Dragonfly in Amber, is Claire's red dress, which she wears to a ball in order to attract attention on purpose. Ifthat's not attracting your attention, you should probably get your eyes checked.
THE KILTS AREN'T GONE FOR GOOD
Claire and Jamie may be in Paris for the first half of the season, but Jamie's Scottish roots won't be forgotten. Here he is, wearing a kilt. Aren't you happy to see that?
NEW FACES
New setting, new friends (and enemies). During their time in French court, Mr. and Mrs. Fraser will get acquainted with a whole host of new characters, from the kings to servant boys and everyone in between. The majority of the season features an entirely new cast of supporting characters.
MOTHER HILDEGARDE
One new face we'll be seeing in season two? Harry Potter star Frances De La Tour, who is set to take on the role of Mother Hildegarde, the show's official Twitter account revealed. Book fans will know that Claire will be spending a lot of quality time with her as she's the commanding Mother Superior of Paris' L'Hopital des Anges, a major setting in the new season.
FERGUS
Claire and Jamie's adopted servant boy plays a fairly important role in season two thanks to his small stature and skills at sneaking around. The sly little spy will be played by 15 year-old Frenchman Romann Berrux.
MARY HAWKINS
Claire befriends the sweet Mary Hawkins, played by Rosie Day, during her time in the French court, and Mary goes on to play a vital role in both Claire's present and her future/past.
ALEX RANDALL
Possibly the worst man to ever exist has got a brother, and that would be terrifying if not for the fact that book readers will know Alex to be a much kinder and gentler Randall than Jack is, though they do apparently look scarily similar. Actor Laurence Dobiesz will take on the role of Alex in season two, and will get to know Jamie and Claire during their time in Paris while he works for the Duke of Sandringham.
THE DUKE OF SANDRINGHAM
Simon Callow will portray the duke, who is a supporter of Charles Stuart and the boss of Black Jack's brother, Alex.
LE COMTE ST. GERMAIN
This season's new bad guy is a wine merchant who's known for his ruthlessness and habit of dabbling in the occult. Book fans know that although he doesn't come close to the treachery of Black Jack Randall, he's also a bit of a villain who is not such a fan of Claire. He's played by Stanley Weber, and will appear in most of the season's Paris episodes.
CHARLES STUART
The Bonnie Prince Charlie is the man at the front of the Jacobite rebellion, which is the very movement Jamie and Claire are trying to stop in order to save Jamie's fellow clansmen. He's charming but not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, and we'll get to know him quite well in season two. He's played by Andrew Gower.
KING LOUIS XV
Lionel Lingelser plays the king of France, who obviously plays a rather integral role in the political intrigue of season two, as, you know, he's the king. Claire and Jamie will get to know him a little unfortunately too well.
LOUISE DE ROHAN
Played by Claire Sermonne, Louise meets up with Claire in the French court and soon needs her advice as she gets a little bit too entangled with the Bonnie Prince Charlie. She's not the brightest, but she does become a good friend to Claire throughout the season.
JARED FRASER
Jamie's got a cousin! Unfortunately, unlike the Randall family in which every man looks the same, Jared Fraser won't be played by Sam Heughan in a wig. Instead, he'll be portrayed by Scottish actor Robert Cavanah. Claire and Jamie will meet Jared in France and live in his mansion while they attempt to manipulate the Jacobite rebellion. He's a wealthy and successful wine merchant, as well as a strong supporter of the exact uprising that Jamie and Claire are trying to prevent.
ANNALISE DE MARILLAC
Does Claire have some competition? French actress Margaux Chatelier will appear as Jamie's former love Annalise de Marillac. Jamie was infatuated with her as a teen in Paris, and she's described as "tiny" and "light and fluffy as a kitten," which is a totally normal and not impossibly adorable way of describing a woman.
MASTER RAYMOND
Master Raymond, the heretic and herbalist, plays an incredibly important role in Claire's journey. He's played by Dominique Pinon, who has the pleasure of taking on the part of a man who's supposed to look a bit like a frog.
BRIANNA RANDALL
After months (or years, depending on how you look at it) of waiting, the spoiler-ific role of Brianna was finally cast. Sophie Skelton will play the tall, stubborn, intelligent, red-haired 20 year-old…whose last name is Randall. Book fans will understand why we're not saying more, but they might have to wait a little longer than they'd like to meet her, since we don't yet know at what point during the season she'll appear.
ROGER WAKEFIELD
Book fans also waited incredibly patiently for the name (and the face) of the man playing Roger Wakefield, who will most likely appear alongside Brianna. Richard Rankin will take on the role of adult Roger, who we've already met as a small child.
FAMILIAR FACES
Not everyone this season is new. Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) is still Jamie's right hand man, and we haven't seen the last of Dougal (Graham McTavish), Colum (Gary Lewis), Angus (Stephen Walters), or Rupert (Grant O'Rourke) either.
YOU WANT MORE FRANK, YOU GOT MORE FRANK
Oh, you didn't want more Frank? Well too bad! Claire's 1940's husband is coming back, and his role will be expanded past what it is in the book. Frank will also be brought up quite a bit more, as Claire is concerned about preserving the future existence of her once and future husband. "I love having Tobias on the show," Moore explained. "I love having the character of Frank. I think having her keep touch with the 20th Century life she had was really important to the show." Whatever you say Ron. You're the boss.

13 IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
While season one was 16 episodes, season two will consist of 13 episodes and the entire season will most likely run continuously. No dreaded midseason Droughtlander to contend with this time!
SO LONG, SCOTLAND (FOR NOW)!
The first half of season two will primarily take place in Paris, France, though it won't look quite like what we think of when we think of Paris. Most familiar Parisian landmarks didn't yet exist at the time. Construction on the Eiffel Tower wasn't even started until 1887, nearly a hundred and fifty years after Claire and Jamie travel there, which is a main reason why filming is actually taking place in Scotland, England, and Prague instead of Paris itself. "It's a great setting, and what was one of the most populated cities in the world at that time," Ron Moore tells us. "French society, it's Aristocracy, the colors are brighter...It's going to look and feel very different, which is exciting."
SPOILER: GET READY FOR A TIME JUMP
Jamie and Claire can't stay young and 20-someting forever, and in fact they're getting older even sooner than you might think, if you're not a book reader. A few scenes in season two will find them aging about 20 years, but there's no need to worry about any recasting.Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are staying put. "I think it'll be fun. I think it's great to be able to play someone's life," Balfe told Zap2It. "So often it's all chronological and you play the one age. Now I get to play a woman who [spoiler alert!] has a child who's in her late teens who's gone through this whole life of experience."
